Norcia (PG) - Visits to the cypt of the Basilica of St Benedict's in Norcia take place each day at 7.45pm on the dot. At this time a monk will in fact pull back the red cordon that normally closes this part of the church to the public. Those who wish to penetrate into the heart of the basilica and take part in the reserved Completa lithurgical function should gather at the steps on the left hand side of the church, at the allocated time.

Ferentillo (TR) - The itinerary to explore the ancient Castle of Capo La Terra starts from the fortified hamlet of Colleponte, which together with Macenano was once part of the castle. The oldest part of the castle is in fact Macenano, which is reachable along the SS 209 Valnerina. The area is much fortified on account of the important Abbey of San Pietro in Valle, with the surrounding woodland still 'scarred' by a number of clearings once used by charcoal burners.
