Todi (PG) - The third and final appointment in the cycle of conferences organised by Aspic Perugia in collaboration with the Comune di Todi will take place on May 20th at 10am in the Sala Affrescata of the Museo Pinacoteca. The title of the meeting is "La comunicazione assertiva".

Trame+Frame

Todi (PG) - From March 31st to May 20th Palazzo Morelli Fine Art will be running the show entitled Trame+Frame, an assortment of works and installations by contemporary artists who have explored the theme of skeleton and clothes. Camminata della Speranza

Fratta Todina (PG) - The 23rd edition of the Camminata della Speranza has been scheduled to take place on May 27th, once more bringing to public attention the many issues concerning people with disabilities and their integration into society. Departure will be at 8.30am from the Due Torri shopping mall square in Collepepe. The entire walk will last roughly 8.5 kilometres.

Parco Culturale della Città di Todi

Todi (PG) - Formed with the idea of promoting the artistic and monumental heritage of Todi, the Parco Culturale della Città di Todi comprises the town's finest monuments and a series of historic buildings that belong to the Comune, some of which are not normally open to the public. The city administration has also entrusted the Società Sistema Museo with the running of the Museo Pinacoteca, the Roman Cisterns, the bell tower of the Church of San Fortunato and the Parco Culturale itself.

Up the Bell Tower of San Fortunato

Todi (PG) - A visit up the bell tower of San Fortunato is well worth the climb, offering exceptional views over Todi and  as far as Tuscany. The imposing church, which is consecrated to the patron saint of Todi, was erected in 1291 by the Lesser Franciscan Friars but was not completed until the mid-15th century. Todi (PG) - The finely preserved Ancient Roman cisterns beneath Piazza del Popolo are an engineering feat and date back to the 1st century BC. The entrance to the public is from Via del Monte, just off the main square.

Todi's Museo Pinacoteca Town Picture Gallery

Todi (PG) - Todi's city collection of pictures, housed within the Museo Pinacoteca in the Palazzi Comunale (12th century), consists of a varied and interesting series of sections that range from the history of the city to a collection of archaeological artefacts unearthed in nearby digs, a good collection of coins, antique textiles and a ceramic collection that is in a magnificently frescoed room. Among the most important pictures in the collection is the Spagna (1507/1511) altarpiece.

UmbriaMusicFest Competition

Todi (PG) - The UmbriaMusicFest Competition will be back in Todi from June 7th to 10th, offering international pianists a chance to dazzle both audiences and judges with their skills. The competition proper will take place at the Chiesa della Nunziatina in Palazzo del Vignola and is open to concert pianists of all ages and nationalities, who can apply for a variety of sections. The deadline for submissions is June 3rd.

Pre-Christian Healing and Shamanism in Latin America and Italy

Marsciano (PG) - Up until June 2nd the Museo Dinamico del Laterizio e delle Terrecotte in Piazzetta San Giovanni will be running an exhibition artefacts and objects concerning pre-Christian shamanism and healing practises, from both Latin America and Italy.
