After Holy Mass on June 3rd there will be a procession to a particular spot known as lu cunnuttu, where an open air shrine adorned with all the most beautiful wild flowers that grow in the area will serve as the place from which the parish priest will impart his blessing against fire, hail, violent weather, locusts and frost. The shepherds of Castelluccio make a special cheese for the occasion using milk that has been milked that very morning.
