Piegaro (PG) - The Ville e Giardini series of guided tours of some of Umbria's finest houses and gardens continues on July 21st with the Abbey of Sette Frati, founded in the 13th century to honour seven Christian brothers that were martyred in Rome in 164 AD. At the height of its influence the abbey was a major player in the economy of the entire area, with no less than twelve churches under its jurisdiction.
