Terni (TR) - From 29 June to 07 July, returns to the big party linked to rituals of celebration of the summer solstice, in the small village overlooking Lake Piediluco, pù the largest natural lake Trasimeno in Umbria after, back festival celebrating the solstice summer.
Many events will take place from June 29 to July 7, 2013 between theater, music and gastronomy. On June 30, the usual competition of "streets and flowered balconies" will have its own space from 11.00. On the evening of July 6, repeats the characteristic parade of decorated boats with fireworks.
Since ancient times, the people of the lake boats adorned rituals to celebrate the water deities, especially the god Neptune, which was dedicated to the temple on the banks of the western branch and celebrating the waters, creators of the wonders of the landscape, water irrigators, water suckler ... The Water Festival is the authentic heritage of this ancient tradition, always able to evolve with the changes in the culture and spirit of contemporary man.
