From April 24th to May 24th the Cantamaggio festival of traditional Umbrian folk singing will run in Terni. As with many of this kind of celebration traditionally held at the start of spring, the Cantamaggio has its roots in pre-Christian spring rites. The songs are intended both as a celebration of the passing of winter and as a wellwishing ritual for the promise of a good harvest.

Expert caving guide and trekker Gianluigi Monaldi runs expeditions to see the magnificent cave behind the Marmore Falls all year round. The cave is in travertine stone, the typical rock found in most of this area's geological formations. Monaldi runs two different options for visiting the cave, one lasting about 1.5 hours suitable also for children, and another that is slightly more demanding and is therefore considered more suitable for adults only.
