From June 28 to July 6, 2014 back to the traditional water festival Piediluco (Tr). The country, like every year, between the end of June and the first Sunday of July celebrates the summer solstice, when the Sun rises in all its splendor.
Piediluco gives, therefore, welcome the beautiful season that sees the revival of new colors, scents and warm atmospheres that enhance its beauty as never before.
For a whole week, through the streets, alleys and corners of this country's most characteristic Umbrian you can enjoy a full schedule of events, music, theater, sports, and entertainment, which sees its climax with Allegorical the nightly parade of boats and the incomparable Fireworks with fireworks reflected on the waters of the lake.
The origins of the festival are ancient: since ancient times the people of the Lake omaggiavano the Sun, the source and the main symbol of life and of the divine, and with it, extolling the powers of light and fire, water and earth, herbs and flowers. With songs and dances, banquets and adorning boats with flowers and garlands, celebrating a new season, to propitiate the good summer harvest.
The Water Festival is now the true legacy of this tradition, to which the current allegorical boats are the evolution of the sacred boats of the past. Today they represent the unique and unrepeatable works in which the skill and craftsmanship of the work of the groups of "boatmen", blend with creativity, technology and modern facilities.
The 2014 edition of the Water Festival will open Saturday, June 28th with Piediluco Sports Village, a two-day event dedicated to the sport with presentations, demonstrations and practical tests of various sports at the Sports Complex Loc Executives, among which will be realized, Sunday, June 29th, at 9:00 am a running race, the Corrilago with Avis, the discovery of the characteristic views of the old town, along the lake and the woods; Monday, June 30, at the Public Gardens Don Mario Baciarelli, at 19:00 RomantiComiche the lake at sunset, a funny and irreverent journey through romance set on the shores of the lake where they land the most famous classic love couples; Friday, July 4, at the Terrace Pics Miralago Swing in concert, to rediscover the unforgettable atmospheres typical of an era. Sunday, July 6, an afternoon dedicated to children, Children Party at Lakeside Filipponi, in collaboration with the Cooperative Tabor and the extraordinary participation of the Association I Pagliacci.
And yet, throughout the festival, you can visit the photo exhibition in the historic Piazza Bonanni, admire the balconies and flower-filled alleys, decorated and illuminated for the festival and much more!
Sunday, July 6th will be the final day of this year with the highlight of the traditional Parade of Boats Allegorical at 21:30 and follow the scenic Fireworks.
Summer events in Piediluco, however, are continuing. Among these, we note the Bacchanal, propitiatory dinner in honor of the god Bacchus, Rocca Albornoz, from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th August: dinner inside the walls of the castle, where servants, music and ambience will transport participants in a romantic and medieval atmosphere.

E.ON, one of the largest energy groups in the world with entirely private capital, says the event the Water Festival, as part of which the company carries on towards the initiatives promoted by the communities of the territories in which it operates.
The multinational energy in Terni manages a 531 MW hydroelectric plants, consisting of 16 hydroelectric power plants through the water of the rivers Tiber and Nera Velino. It is one of the centers of production of renewable energy's most important center of Italy, as well as a site of great historical value and natural beauty, which also includes the waterfall Falls. The hydroelectric plants of E.ON in Terni produces an average of about 1.3 TWh per year sufficient to meet the energy needs of about 500,000 Italian families.
