Piegaro (PG) - The weekend of 19 and 20 October will be dedicated to the manufacture of glass with the wait event THE WORK OF VETRAI - GLASS AND IN FAIR VETRAI, now in its third edition. The initiative, organized by the Museum of Glass, City of Piegaro, Consortium Ithaca, Circle ENDAS Piegaro Piegaro and ASD in the Chestnut Festival, will be attended by glassmakers from all over Italy, who were invited by the Museum of Glass to give birth to two days of work live.
Visitors can admire the artistic and technical skills of the participants after 15.00 on Saturday, October 19: a journey through different techniques and styles, you will see demonstrations of processing furnace, different types of glass blowing, flame working, Tiffany technique, etching, glass fusing. Abandoned the spirit of competition that had characterized previous editions the event 2013 will be a meeting all aimed at collaboration and contamination, which will promote the exchange between teachers of different backgrounds.
The only restriction placed participants will be the theme of the event, inspired by the works which will be produced in the course of two days. This year's theme calls one of the peculiar characteristics and fascinating "glass material": the color. Each artisan will also bring with them their own products, setting up a varied exhibition market, all dedicated to glass made in Italy.
The event will take place on Saturday 19 October, from 15.00 to 23.00 and on Sunday 20th October from 11.00 to 19.00.
On both days the entrance to the museum and the exhibition will be free.
