Immersed in the green of the Apennines of southern Umbria, in the town of Stroud, lies the small village of the feudal era of Finocchieto.
In this corner of paradise, away from the clamor of the city, the Cultural Association "La Piazzetta" organizes the "Festival of pappardella finocchietana", which comes in its ninth edition.
In the ten-day event, from 28 June to 7 July, at the functional spaces of the indoor multi-purpose, you can enjoy good food than once. Large amounts of fresh pappardelle, hand-made by housewives of the country, are served in many tasty flavors (wild boar, duck, to the mountain), together with the inviting and succulent dumplings and seconds, as wild boar stew, kebabs or the meat cooked on the grill not to mention the homemade desserts such as traditional brick or ricotta tart or pie cherries. And this year the novelty of special dishes designed for those who appreciate less full-bodied flavors of the meat.
The adoption of a series of measures aimed at killing almost total environmental impact, the event is among the first in Umbria to be able to define "Ecosagra", is accompanied by the attention and the preference for products from the surrounding area in so as to be able to use the products as much as possible to zero km.
To end the evening, live performances with major orchestras and musical groups will involve present in an atmosphere of joy and fun, and will be available for fans a brand new dance floor.
