Montone (PG) - Big party in the medieval village from 11 to 18 August 2013 for the "Gift of the Holy Thorn," celebrations to commemorate the exploits of captain Braccio da Montone.
The three town neighborhoods, Porta del Borgo, Porta del Monte and Porta del Verziere face off for a whole week launching calls for challenge, representing scenes of medieval life and venturing into archery in order to win the Palio and elect its Castellana.
Concludes the festivities of the Grand Historical Pageant Gift of the Holy Thorn.
Throughout the week you can immerse yourself in a medieval atmosphere and discover sounds and flavors in the picturesque taverns rionali.
