The prize-giving ceremony for this year's edition of the A+Com award promoted by Alleanza per il Clima and the Kyoto Club will take place in Terrafutura from May 25th to 27th. The prize is awarded each year to a local authority that has distinguished itself in the environment and introducing sustainable energy. The submissions deadline is March 9th.

The Church of Santa Croce, formerly an oratory founded by the Santa Croce penitent brotherhood of Umbertide, houses a collection of works that are on permanent display all year round. The Museo Storico e Scientifico del Tabacco of San Giustino, open to the public all year round, contains an interesting display of artefacts that documents this town's past as a major tobacco growing centre in the 19th century. The museum is housed in what was once the tobacco storage warehouse.

Open all year round, the 14th century Church of San Francesco contains frescoes dating from the 16th and 17th centuries and an intarsio wooden choir dating from the 16th century. A permanent display of art and artefacts documenting the history of Montone is also open to the public. Among its highlights is the Bartolomeo Caporali Madonna della Misericordia standard and a 13th century Deposition from the Pieve of San Gregorio in Montone.

On June 2nd Pieve de Saddi will be commemorating the feast day of St Crescienziano with a walk and Holy Mass at the Pieve de' Saddi. Crescenziano, or Crescentino as he is also known, is believed to have been a Roman soldier who deserted and hid in the countryside around Città di Castello - known as Tifernum in Roman times.
