San Gemini (TR) - The workshop Photography and storytelling in contemporary music, will be held on 6-7-8 May 2014 at the Cosmic Country House, San Gemini. The course aims to go beyond the classical conception of music photography turn our attention on music as an element of creative inquiry and authorship.
Starting from an attempt to define what makes a photographer who uses music as a subject of inspiration through decades of history of art and for the analysis of some authors, you get to outline how to build a work conceptually and visually structured. From here you will proceed to the design of personal portfolios through a synthesis route choice and aim to form the final work which will have as its protagonist a secret concert at the Cosmic House.
Specific course
Minimum 5, maximum 10 participants; based course: Cosmic House; life lessons: Tuesday, three hours; Wednesday two hours + live; Thursday 2 hours. During the lectures will be given a handout on paper, will be taken into consideration catalogs, videos and songs. Application deadline: Friday, May 2. Cost: € 50.00 per participant payable in twice (including participation in the cost there at the concert and dinner pre-conciliation) and the proportion payable in twice: once at the time of enrollment and during the first lesson . Course manager
The course is taught by Valeria Pierini, a photographer who has been working with music. He in fact photographed dozens of bands on the national scene or not. He works regularly with some labels and tested the web: Noise Umbria, Mola Mola and Stordisco webzine and his photos have been published in various magazines and websites quail: Noise, Gibson Italy, Neuroprison, Audiodrome, Blogout and Sound36 Rolling Stone and others.
He collaborates with several bands and labels. He has worked in various festivals between Umbria and Tuscany. For three years, where he teaches courses in music photography through plays and image analysis tries to bring out the absolute and inevitable relationship that music has with the view. To his credit, numerous solo and group exhibitions in various awards and commendations. Among his last works with the music stand out 'I among you', Census of music Umbrian 'Tabula Rasa' in collaboration with Htcos.
