Experiment of truth

Perugia (PG) - On 8 and 9 June, at the Centre of Contemporary Culture of the Palazzo della Penna, will be held the workshop, conducted by the Umbrian Alessandra Baldoni, "Experiment of truth." Loosely inspired by the exhibition "Art is a novel", the laboratory is designed to investigate the relationship between literature and art with a focus on photography.

Through a series of stimuli of various kinds, narrative games and creative writing exercises you will work on how a story about how and from it we can draw inspiration to create a work of art. The narrative as a starting point to produce artistic images will be the central focus of the workshop will seek to understand how to structure a photographic project conceptually defined and consistent from the point of view of the narrative.

The workshop will last two days (from 11:00 to 17:00 on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June from 15.00 to 19.00), and will be structured in four parts that come near the participants of the word as a source of inspiration and ideas, and the image as a synthesis, a summary and the result of literary influences.
The path defined by Alessandra Baldoni is designed to communicate with and Palazzo della Penna, as well as draw inspiration from the current exhibition, will also refer to the Archive of shared memory. The segments of which it is composed are the following:

1. art is a novel: the relationship between art and literature;
2. How does a story: beginning of practice;
3. Shared memory, archives and imagination: from photos to stories;
4. Experiment of truth: from text to images.

Specific technical skills are not required. Participants are asked to adopt a means capable of taking pictures (just a cell phone). They will be provided with the materials needed to complete the diaries that will be used to collect ideas and work produced during the workshop.
