Città di Castello (PG) - The Concrete Utopias Fair 2013 scheduled on nonconsecutive days from October 18 to November 2, will center on the work in progress for the "Masterplan Città di Castello Smart." A workshop will present a piece of the Plan, namely the reduction of the environmental impact of public events in the city. In three laboratories of the future will be dealt with as many central aspects of the project: Culture and Tourism, Integration and Social Inclusion and Innovation and productivity.
The laboratories of the future will follow a structured design methodology and discussion under the guidance of a facilitator. They are public events for which you will seek the participation of key actors in the various areas.
The events of the Utopias Fair 2013 alongside concrete and accompanied by two important initiatives of the city, Altrocioccolato and Truffle Exhibition combining the fundamental theme of sustainable development of the territory. Starting dall'Altotevere work on the Masterplan Town of Castle smart shall be construed as exemplary applied research to make an average city and its territory capable of a future.
The Concrete Utopias Fair took its first steps in 1987, when the municipal administration of Città di Castello, led by then Mayor Joseph Pannacci, initiated the first contact with the culture of the European Green with the intention to develop an initiative able to contribute to many different levels - from the local to the international - in dealing with the problems posed by the "emergency environment." In the course of these meetings was established, coordinated by Alexander Langer, the "European Advisory Committee" which, in close relationship with the local administration, and other realities and local institutions, has also developed and implemented the program in its various editions of the Fair .
This combination of public institutions and citizens associated for the occasion, in the invention and implementation of the Fair is a first original feature of this initiative.
