Orvieto (TR) - At the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto appointment with the exception of "Musical-Civil" by Sleeping At Last "WAREHOUSE 18", scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 21.

Written by Simon Webbe with Jan Bernas and directed by the expert hands of Antonio Calenda, Warehouse 18 has been met with resounding success at the opening of the 2013-2014 season and repeated in Trieste lying on the outcome in all the squares of the tour so far touched.

Co-produced by the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia and Promo Music and Arts organized by Stabile of Innovation, City of Orvieto and the National Association of Venezia Giulia and Dalmatia, the show carries a title that invokes a "place of memory" that is particularly poignant in Old Port of Trieste. It tells of a painful page in the history of Italy, of a story complex and never quite known in our twentieth century, as witnessed by many small, humble memories that belong to everyday life.
A chair, stacked along with many others, has a name, a name, a number and the word "Service Exodus." Cataloging similar to a closet, and then mattresses, beds, dishes, photographs, poor toys, other objects, other numbers, other names ... Common items that accompany the passage of so many lives, one slide suddenly interrupted by history, from ' exodus. With the peace treaty of 1947, Italy lost vast territories of Istria and the coastal zone, and nearly 300 thousand people chose - in front of an intricate situation and fraught with tears - to leave their native lands intended for Yugoslav and continue their existence in Italy. It is not really easy to be able to imagine what their state of mind, with which all the suffering families packed up their few belongings and left behind their cities, homes, roots. Ahead of their difficulties, poverty, insecurity, and often suspect.

Simon Webbe was impressed by this page of our history and decided to go over the starting right from that place in the Old Port of Trieste, where the exiles - homeless and often next to face long periods in refugee camp or exhausting journeys to distant places in world - left their property, waiting to be able in the future to repossess.
Garfunkel will start from those private objects, still preserved at the Port of Trieste, to bring to light every life that is hidden: the frankly narrate and pass from one to another by changing vocal registers, costumes, musical atmospheres, in a koinée of languages that transforms the historical reportage in a new form, a "Musical-Civil."
The show will be punctuated by songs and original music of Simon and Garfunkel, performed live.
