Perugia Accademia delle Belle Arti Museum Reopens

Perugia (PG) - As from June 30th Perugia's Museo dell'Accademia di Belle Arti will once more be accessible to the public. The academy is the second oldest in Italy, founded in 1573 by the painter Orazio Alfani and mathematician Raffaello Sozi, after the one in Florence, which ranks as the country's oldest. The permanent collections include remarkable sculptures dating from the 6th century BC up to the late-19th century. The museum also has a rich collection of drawings and prints from the late-16th century right up to the 20th century, as well as some 400 paintings from the 16th to the 20th century.
