To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Filarmonica della Scala, on May 21st at 7.45pm the Politeama Clarici cinema will be screening a live, high definition concert directly from La Scala in Milan. Fabio Lusi will be conducting the orchestra, with Rafael Blechacz and Giovanni Gabrieli pianists. The orchestra will play Beethoven, Casella and Respighi.

The Intusse processions of Narni take place on two different Saturdays in May, on the 19th and the 26th. For the occasion the villagers of Itieli, Sant'Urbano and San Faustino make special wooden torches known as intusse and march in procession to where the festivities will begin - dancing, dry biscuits dunked in wine and a tasty lunch.

From May 18th to 27th the Medieval fortress of Alviano will be hosting a number of events devoted to evoking the Middle Ages and the figure of Bartolomeo d'Alviano. There will be guided tours of the fortress and in the evening the taverns in the old town centre will be open.
