Perugia (PG) - It is celebrated from 26 August to 1 September, the Feast of Our Lady of Grace in La Bruna. The functions have celebratory start in the morning and end with the procession involving the Parrocoe all the inhabitants of La Bruna.
Tradition has it that: it was the year 1890 about the month of August, when Mr. Staccini Herculaneum called "Martian" returning home he found his wife to give birth. "The being done" does not promise anything good and Mrs. Erminia called "Mimmina" faced labor for days and nights, when her husband resigned to bad luck went to the church of La Bruna and prayed to Our Lady to keep alive the his bride. On the way home he noticed a flurry of people and thought the worst. Soon, however, he realized that it was joyful shouting, and entered the house he found his wife, exhausted but happy, had given birth to a beautiful little girl! Since then, every year on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Grace family Staccini with all the great-grandchildren of Martian and among the inhabitants of the country has never ceased to honor the Virgin Mary for the grace received through this beautiful tradition.
Today the statue is no longer placed in the church of La Bruna, is preserved by the family Staccini in the chapel of property in an ancient Byzantine tower along the banks of the Tiber River probably bulwark for the protection of the castle.
