Assisi (PG) - Assisi (Pg). A number of religious ceremonies will be held in Assisi to mark the Feast of the Assumption of Mary on August 15th. Besides High Mass officiated in the Basilica St Francis', in the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore on the 15th, on the night of the 14th in Piazza della Porziuncola (opposite the Basilica of S. M. degli Angeli) there will be the lighting of the traditional focaraccio bonfire followed at 9pm by the wake and procession of the confraternities.
