Bevagna (PG) - On the occasion of World Poetry Day and the Water, March 21 to 23, and carnettisti urban sketchers from all over Italy gather in Bevagna to draw the water and the sources of the village.
"TALES IN COLOR" is the title of the event is a preview of the second edition of "Viaggialibro - Living literary travel book" (15/18 May) that will bring in the Umbrian town, recently named "Jewel d ' Italy ", writers, journalists, intellectuals and artists of national reputation who will present books, reportage and travel experiences.
"TALES IN COLOR" is organized by the Cultural Society of travelers and dreamers and no wings & Publishing in collaboration with the Municipality of Bevagna, with the aim to raise awareness and promote in Umbria philosophy of the international movement of urban scketchers, which caters with respect to the places and emotions on paper and fixed images, colors, sensations.
The works to be carried out during "TALES IN COLOR" will be on display at the Auditorium Santa Maria Laurentia and one of them, selected by a panel of experts, will become the poster collector of the second edition of "Viaggialibro."
The trip offered by urban sketchers is a go slow but caring, looking places, people, colors. Travelling with your notebook in your pocket is very old idea, just remember the artists and writers of the Grand Tour, today is a different way to document a place, to fix not only landscapes but also emotions together with traveling companions, to to better connect with what you see. A sort of travelogue for pictures.
The notebooks will be carried out where the works of the participants of "TALES IN COLOR" are offered by Cartarius, watercolors by Maimeri.
