Orvieto (Tr). Now in its fourth edition, the Orvieto Umbria Folk Festival will be bringing its inebriating mix of music, wine, food, popular culture and diverse ethnicity into town from August 19th to 24th, accompanied by an enriching programme of collateral events.
The festival will open on Thursday August 19th with RICCARDO TESI & BANDITALIANA (special guest Lucilla Galeazzi) followed by a performance from Simone Cristicchi & i Minatori di Santa Fiora. Over the following days, on August 20th, there will be ALESSANDRO MANNARINO, TERESA DE SIO on the 21st, DAVIDE VAN DE SFROOS (special guest PEPPE VOLTARELLI) on the 22nd, ENRICO BRIGNANO on the 23rd and the much-awaited GOGOL BORDELLO in their only fixture for Central and Southern Italy closing off the event on the 24th.
A series of itinerant groups will either be opening or closing the main scheduld concerts: I Maggiolini, Swing…ando Group, I Cantori della Valnerina, Luca Pirozzi Band, Gto, Mangia & Bevi, Selton, Surd Ensemble, RedSka, Zastava Orkestar.
Except for the Gogol Bordello gig (at € 20) and Enrico Brignano (at € 40), all concerts are free of charge.
