Vallo di Nera (PG) - On June 9th and 10th the Fior di Cacio event celebrating the tastes and flavours of this part of Umbria will run in the old town centre of Vallo di Nera. Cheeses in particular will have a prominent position, offering visitors and locals alike a chance to savour the many different levels of maturity as well as the rich variety of aromas that derive from the diverse diet enjoyed by local sheep, which ranges from simple grass to wild herbs and berries.
A special section named "I mille matrimoni del formaggio" will be devoted to experimenting with new and interesting combinations between cheeses and other foods.
