Orvieto (TR) - Orvieto (Tr). On June 25th, the Feast of the Corpus Domini, celebrations in Orvieto will begin at 9pm in the Duomo with Mass and will be followed by a series of sporting events for children culminating in a raffle. Traditionally these events are intended to commemorate the arrival of a priet, Peter of Prague, who came into town in 1264 bearing a missive for Pope Urban IV. On his way he had stopped in Bolsena and officiated Mass, whereupon the Miracle of the Eucharist took place that gave origin to the Feast of the Corpus Domini.
