Foligno (PG) - The 2014 edition of the Festival of Science and Philosophy, scheduled for April 10 to 13, will maintain and exalt the characteristic of being an appointment to study the present and look to the future with optimism of knowledge. It will strengthen the character of the meeting, the party among scientists, philosophers, public, and especially young people, together with the rigorous research and comparison of scientific and philosophical.
The theme of the IVth edition of Festival of Science and Philosophy - virtue and knowledge will be: Human, Sensitive, Unknown. Once again a very broad subject that encompasses issues and summarizes ancient, modern and current knowledge about the human and especially science.
Once again, four eminent personalities gave as scientific and cultural referents, the Feast of Sciena and Philosophy - virtue and knowledge:
Edward Boncinelli, physical and geneticist;
Giulio Giorello, philosopher, mathematician and epistemologist;
Silvano Tagliagambe philosopher;
Roberto Battiston, physical.
The year 2014 will be structured as follows:
1. the articulation of the cultural contexts to which they refer conferences in four broad areas of science and philosophy:
• Science and Faith;
• Brain and Mind.
• Simple and Complex.
• The Time.
2. The specificity of conferences dedicated to the schools.
3. The expansion of opportunities for discussion between the scientific and philosophical culture of other parts of the world with the Italian ones.
4. The participation of scientists directly involved in the most recent discoveries of modern science in many fields.
5. The ability to identify real paths that pass through different areas: the conferences of scientists, philosophers, medical conferences, lectures devoted to physics, those dedicated to Biology, to mathematics, science communication, discussions and comparisons to more voices, between religious and secular, between Italian and foreign scientists.
