It will be held in Montefalco (PG), 19 to 21 September, the thirty-fifth edition of Wine, the annual event dedicated to the Montefalco Sagrantino, Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin of the most prestigious in Italy, able to play a leading role the chessboard of great red wines in the country.
The theme chosen for this year's Wine Stories of Lives, in honor of the tradition that has made ​​the Sagrantino a symbol of excellence of Made in Italy and to tell the "life" that evolves around the production of the wine, the vineyards and wineries in the area.
The main topics of this edition will also be sustainability and the relationship with the environment, with particular reference to the issues at the center of Expo2015: Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. In addition to these insights on history, places, crafts and flavors intertwined in the culture and traditions of Montefalco.
Enologica35 kicks off Friday, September 19 with the opening to be held at 11:00 am at the Complex of St. Augustine and the opening of the Banco d'Assaggio dei Vini di Montefalco which will then forward to the three day event. With the purchase of the glass, you can taste the wines of about 26 wineries participating.
Like every year, the wine event, organized by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco and the Municipality of Montefalco, provides an extensive program of tastings, conferences, workshops, cultural tours and art, show cooking and wine tours to discover the universe that revolves around the Sagrantino.
Many events to mark in your diary for tourists, fans and wine lovers will have the opportunity to get close to the lands, villages and typical products of one of the most famous production areas of Umbria.
