Perugia (PG) - Tuesday, December 3 at 21, the Teatro Morlacchi host the Russian New Classic "of MOSCOW BALLET" in "The Sleeping Beauty" ballet in three acts. Music: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, choreography: Marius Petipa; sets: Tony Child; costumes: Antony Rush. Among the masterpieces ballettistici the nineteenth century, "Sleeping Beauty" is considered one of the greatest ballets of imperial Russia, representing the most classic expression, in an atmosphere of theatrical abstraction that aims to give more emphasis to the pure dance with respect to the events narrative.
According to history composition of the three ballets by Tchaikovsky, "Sleeping Beauty" is based on the book written entirely by Prince Ivan Vsevolozhsky, then superintendent of the Imperial Theatres of St. Petersburg, and was inspired by the fairy tale by Charles Perrault. A flagship for the New Classical Ballet of Moscow, young ballet private company, founded in early 2000 in Moscow, with the aim to develop and exploit the great tradition of classical Russian ballet, seeking at the same time new forms choreography.
This exciting production, which has the participation of dancers, as Yuri Lebedev, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and Elena Kabanova, soloist of the Theatre of Yekaterinburg, owes its peculiarity to the romantic final in which "meet" all the characters of the most famous fairy tale, committed to celebrating the awakening of the beautiful sleeping princess and the culmination of the dreams of love with her prince.
