A conference that brings together the top experts in the topic, which will discuss the complexities of research with particular attention to the question of sources; will be considered in cases of
Italian prisoners held in concentration camps in Britain, the United States, Germany, and the Allied army of those detained in camps in Italy, with specific reference to the situation
in Umbria.
The novelty lies in the particular perspective request to the speakers; completed the phase of the census of the fields in the territories of the respective nations, it is time that the historiography s'interroghi on the role that the exploitation of forced labor was in the war economy of the Warring States. The conference also pursues the aim, not least, to restore dignity to the historical sacrifices and sufferings of thousands of Italian soldiers, the so-called IMI, the Germans interned in labor camps after September 8, 1943, many of which are offered under extreme a significant contribution to the Resistance.
