Perugia (PG) - ll Competition is open to oils obtained exclusively from Italian olives, with the opportunity to participate in two distinct categories, that of extra virgin olive oils and that of the virgin PDO and PGI. The oils selected will compete in the final stage of the competition - to be held in Umbria 23 to 29 March 2014 - during which will be examined by a National Jury consists of 16 tasters, eminent experts in the field.
The prize of the competition will be awarded to the oils that will get the top two spots in the 2 categories for each of the following types: light fruity, fruity, fruity.
On this occasion, will also be awarded:
- Special Prize Amphora Olearia oil finalist who will bring the best package according to the parameters established by the Rules
- Special Mention "Organic Olive Oil" to the product certified according to law, that will get the highest score among the finalists organic oils
- Award Lekytos, the foreign personality that stood out for knowledge of the techniques of tasting
- Prize "The Courage to make New Agricultural Enterprises", reserved for the finalists started the last five years
