Perugia (PG) - Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at 21:15 INTERNOENKI the COLLECTIVE presents the show "MEDEA Big Oil", a show winner Scenario Award Ustica 2013. A very special play in key clownish, designed for performing rhythmic chorus. The show riambienta the myth of Medea in a petrolizzata Basilicata: Basilicata Medea becomes a woman betrayed by the "foreign", the BIG-OIL-Jason, who does not keep his promise of love: that is the promise of growth and employment, the 'illusion that oil would change the fortunes of a region historically marked by poverty.
Lucan illusion that they know well, but who do not have the courage to break up. Medea is also a metaphor for the close-minded peasant and farmer that still characterizes this land.
Instead of writing yet another book about oil, it was decided to put together a group of 20 actors. Against the backdrop of environmental destruction in the Val d'Agri, where the incidence of cancer is very strong, the murmur of a people-animal herd ago evocation of a humanity divided between the poor and the powerful.
