Perugia (PG) - From June 12 to 16 the area of ​​the medieval Tower of Pretola will host the Festival of Cinema: 5 days of outdoor screenings and regional cuisine theme. An event cinegastronomica born to recover and reproduce in a strong way the popular size and social cinema.
Popular Novel will be the title / theme of the first edition, inspired by the masterpiece of Mario Monicelli: open air cinema (with free admission), meetings with authors, events and regional food theme (menu Sicily, Puglia, Umbria and Lazio) , popular and quality.
It starts on 12 June, with the documentary by Carlo Verdone and Luke Albert the Great, dedicated to the mask incomparable Alberto Sordi. To introduce the screening there will be just Luca Verdone, in a meeting with the journalist and critic Henry Magrelli.
Thursday, June 13, an event dedicated to one of the cornerstones of national cinema film: film screening of The Big Deal by Mario Monicelli.
Friday 14th will be the turn of the 'Puglia night': After the afternoon meeting with the director Alessandro Piva, there will be screenings of the documentary Black pasta and the cult film The capagira.
Saturday 15 arrives in Pretola Daniel Cyprus, who will present his latest work as a director, was his son.
It closes Sunday, June 16, with the screening of the film in La vita agra Carlo Lizzani and the afternoon meeting with Emilio D'Alessandro, for thirty years handyman and friend of Stanley Kubrick, interviewed by the journalist and critic Alberto Crespi.
