Dyslexia - Campus summer for boys and girls

Perugia (PG) - From the traditional book to my book, the title of the 2014 summer camps for children and young people with learning difficulties to be held in Perugia, and that sums up the trail and creative proposal.

Two dates from June to September for a training proposal where, in an informal setting, the boys will compete with compensatory measures and alternative techniques of study. It is a residential campus, an experience that allows children with dyslexia to spend a week between peers in a playful context, in the heart of the Umbrian countryside; a place that stimulates and encourages outdoor living and provides the serenity needed for learning. Organized from AID (Italian Dyslexia Association), in collaboration with the Center DO, a specialist center for the learning of Perugia, accredited facility at the Umbria Region and the National Health Service, the campuses are aimed at girls and boys aged 11 to 19 years. Two sessions available, divided into senior and junior: from 29 June to 5 July and from 31 August to 6 September 2014.

The goal of the campus is to promote independent of dyslexic children and promote opportunities for interaction and exchange among peers. The courses that are offered through the use of techniques and tools, aimed at boosting motivation, self-esteem and self-acceptance through the work of the group and recreational activities. The guys at the end of the training, they will realize multimedia products that will include all the activities during the week. The special feature of the campus is the specificity of the proposed activities. While not neglecting a complete offer, linked to all the basic disciplines, will focus attention on the exposure oral and written, including English; This will allow you to exercise those skills which often cause more problems for the kids during the verifications in the classroom. The selection of the campus in these specific areas, will enable the students to acquire techniques and methods specific study, with innovative solutions and motivating.


The educational process will unfold in six days, during which, through guided activities, young students can approach with enthusiasm and understanding of the effectiveness of the tools and compensation strategies. The children, divided by age and skills, participating in the computer labs will experience a sense of self-efficacy that will enable strategies acquired constitute a powerful ally and a valuable resource for increasing motivation and self-confidence. All with the goal of gaining greater autonomy in the study.

This is the 11 th and 12 th edition, the operators, who over the years have gained a great experience, will offer training successful with a particular attention to the particularities of the individual child. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a fun and relaxing week of friendship and learn about the tools and innovative teaching methods, which may become indispensable for their support in the study. Registration is open to boys and girls from all over the country. The experience of the campus is residential with arrival on Sunday and departure on Saturday. The boys will be hosted at Villa Taticchi, a beautiful house of medieval origin, immersed in the greenery and quiet of the Umbrian countryside, Ponte Pattoli (Perugia).
