Assisi (PG) - Saturday 19, April 26 and May 3, 2014, at 19.30, the Bosco di San Francesco, Well FAI - Italian Environmental Fund Assisi (PG), will be the scene of "Silentium", three evenings - organized in collaboration with the Association AssisiSuonoSacro Francis Morley and the Conservatory of Perugia - in the name of sacred music and readings in the charming medieval church of Santa Croce, within the Forest.
"Silentium" is presented as a series of concerts to be held sacred in the Church of Santa Croce in Bosco di San Francesco and designed according to a Franciscan style, which aims to revive the experience of the Spirit through the means of music and art. Through the "poverty" of the sound and music, the attention of the viewer naturally focuses on one type of active listening, thanks to which you are creating the interpenetration between man and nature so dear to the spiritual in art; a listening that will allow each to explore their emotional and discover the implications and resonances of the music in its intimacy. It can therefore be considered "Silentium" as a real ceremonial through which the listener can learn to use their emotional intelligence to discover an awareness of sound useful to the formation of the individual and the realization of their potential.
The program includes music from time to time improvisation techniques, inspired songs, songs of the repertoire, natural tunings, theories of harmonics, choral, Gregorian melodies and much more. Through the reading of texts on the importance of silence and music, as well as the silence in the music, the audience will discover the value of music and song in meditation, in prayer and understanding of the works of the philosophers, the Fathers of the Church, the hagiographies , songs of mystical poetry.
