Terni (TR) - Terni. From October 28th to December 19th the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Terni e Narni will be running a show devoted to the works of Guido Mirimao at Palazzo Montani Leoni. Born in 1909 in Papigno, a village near Terni, Mirimao began his career as a pupil of Belgian Symbolist painter Charles Daudelet. His artistic production spans a broad range of genres and mediums, from illustrator to decorator, painter and restorer. Mirimao was one of the leading exponents of the so-called Terni School, a group of artists whose ideals contrasted with the prevalent Novecento movement sanctioned by the Fascist regime. Mirimao died in 1990.
