Gubbio (Pg). With the intention of exploring the potential attractions of the Palazzo Ducale of Gubbio, the Maggio Eugubino association has traced an interesting cultural itinerary focussing on the ceramic production in Umbria and the Marche through the ages. On June 26th the exhibition entitled “La Via della Ceramica tra Umbria e Marche. Maioliche Rinascimentali da collezioni private" will open in the ducal palace, offering a selection of 150 pieces of particular historical and artistic interest from public and private collections, some of which have never previously been on public display. Collateral shows will simultaneously run in Deruta, Torgiano, Orvieto and Perugia. The entire catalogue of the Gubbio show, which will feature major Renaissance ceramic works, has been coordinated by Professor A. Sannipoli. The show will occupy the main floor state rooms of the palace, which also houses a collection of paintings from various periods and a reconstruction of the famous study of Federico, Duke of Montefeltro.
