San Gemini (TR) - From June 30 to September 2, 2013 at the Museo dell'Opera di Guido Calori will visit the exhibition of graphic works by Francesco Parisi. Francesco Parisi, a balance between modernity and tradition, places and atmosphere is dense with meaning, where male and female nudes refer to ancient rituals, whose formal references are attributable to the lines and haunting allegories of the school fantastic and visionary William Blake in Austin Osman Spare.
Of particular note is the recent series of large woodcuts entitled Lamed Vav which proposes a heterodox reading of the Hebrew myth of the thirty-six righteous.
In the four incisions in the set, be wild animals immersed in desert atmospheres, the waiting time unfolds in its essential moments, mixing and permuting a tiny bunch of arcane, with a discretion in the handling of symbolic tools, which enhances the 'essential richness.

During the exhibition will be shown a video of the artist entitled Lamed Vav.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog with texts by Renzo Margonari, Michele Benucci and Daniel Capuano, Editions Quodlibet.
Francesco Parisi
Born in Rome in 1972 Francesco Parisi has exhibited at the Gallery of Modern Art in Cagliari, Kultur Institute Florenz Villa Romana in Florence, the Galleria Comunale d'Arte Ciampino airport as well as in many private galleries in Rome, Paris, Turin, Monaco , New York. He has been invited on several occasions by the Centre for the Graphic Arts Frans Masereel (Kasterlee, Belgium) and collaborates with the Centre for the Arts Books, New York. He teaches technique of Engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata.
