Terni (TR) - The theme of "The rare disease of the retina (in particular Retinitis Pigmentosa) and retinal prostheses, such expectations."
The event is scheduled for 6th October from 10.30 to 13.00 at the Red Room of Palazzo Gazzoli, Via del Teatro Romano 13.
Terni to one day become the 'center of the world' with regard to the 'rare diseases of the retina'. Thanks to the collaboration with the Association Retina Italy Onlus and the support of the Municipality of Terni, we'll talk about these diseases and their social cost but also the real prospects of care through national experts, such as Dr. Stanislao Rizzo, Director of the Department of Ophthalmic surgery of the 'University Hospital of Pisa, at the forefront in Europe in the installation of retinal prostheses. There will also be international experts of the American Second Sight retinal prosthesis that have created the world's most effective currently being used just by Professor Rizzo.
