Orvieto (TR) - This year the feast of the Madonna della Cava will last a good three days, taking advantage of the bridge for the feast of the Republic. Saturday, Sunday and Monday next, weather permitting, will repeat the traditional feast of cavajoli in the heart of the medieval quarter of the city.
Three dancing with new culinary delights every evening and numerous side events, thanks to the collaboration with the City of Neighborhoods, the conduct of Slow Food Orvieto, Palazzo del Gusto, Fotoamaorvieto and Fisar.
It will begin with a preview of Orvieto in Flower Saturday 31 May, with the opening of a photo exhibition and an exhibition of lace, followed by a workshop on fruit and vegetable drink to children (but also open to parents and grandparents), tastings and tours.
Until you get to the center of the party, consisting of the procession on Sunday, June 1, when the statue of the Madonna della Cava will march through the streets of the neighborhood.
The appendix on Monday will offer a nice moment of gastronomy with the comparison between "tortucce" industrial flour and yeast and those of local flour of fine grains and yeast, ending with an evening full of events, including the traditional lottery and the first edition of the dance competition "of 'holes'.
