AESTIVUM is an event sponsored by the City of Cascia with cooperation from
local tourism that aims to deepen the understanding of both SUMMER TRUFFLE,
main product of the Nera Valley, with particular attention to issues related to the collection,
conservation and to its use in the kitchen. But the exhibition will also be on Rosa Canina, an
plant species belonging to the court of truffle flora, flower widespread in
our valley and which is often found in the same environments in which it grows Tuber aestivum, called
volgalmente Scorzone.
In the historic center of Cascia will be set up booths for the sale of the best local productions
related to agricultural (such as Saffron of Cascia, the lentil, the Roveja of
Civita di Cascia, and spelled), in particular the presence of exhibitors truffles. The program
AESTIVUM is also enriched with wine tastings and workshops.
