This year's edition of the Corsa delle Carrette race in Narni will once more be guaranteeing thrills for both participants and spectators on October 6th. The race is entirely downhill, through the streets of Narni, beginning from Piazzza Garibaldi and ending at the crossing with Via Berardozzo. Although entirely lacking any form of internal motor, the vehicles bear a stron resemblance to the racing cars used in Formula 1. Read more

This year's edition of Opera InCanto will run at the Teatro Secci of Terni from October 6th to 12th. To mark the centenary of the birth of John Cage, this year's festival will be hosting renowned tenor Luigi Petroni in a world premiere of the comic intermezzo Boletus, composed by Carlo Boccadoro to a libretto by Giuseppe di Leva, which is based on an appearance that Cage made on the popular Italian television quiz show "Lascia o Raddoppia", conducted by the late Mike Bongiorno. On October 6th in Piazza Duomo there will be a national level Jaguar and Land Rover car meet, with participants expected to arrive and stay in the square from 10am to 3pm. Read more

On October 6th and 7th the annual painting prize of Fighille, near Citerna, will be attracting hundreds of artists from across the country, all sharing their common passion for painting and art in general. The competition proper will play out in two different sections, one devoted to works completed within the studio and the other to improvised pieces.
